Unlawful acts are not necessarily reckless

Denise Lindus Trummel commented that "it appears quite reckless to carry out unlawful acts just to be in the news" ("Please quote me correctly", Letters, 18/9).. I'd note that history proves otherwise.. In the 1980s, more 1200 people were arrested during the Franklin River campaign, which resulted in the decision to stop the destruction of that UNESCO World Heritage site..
